ASSISTANT INSIDE SALES MANAGER

MON-FRI; 5:30AM-2:00PM

The Assistant Inside Sales Manager is a senior leadership role within the Inside Sales department, reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager. This position involves supporting the manager in daily operations, resolving complex customer service and technical issues, and guiding Inside Sales team members to achieve departmental goals. You’ll oversee Senior Sales Specialists, Customer Service, and Quotations Leads, ensuring smooth workflow and high performance. Leveraging your expertise, you'll address challenging service requests, research impactful issues, and collaborate closely with the Inside Sales Manager to drive success.


Hours: Mon – Fri 5:30am-2:00pm

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Inside Sales Manager with overseeing the daily      operations of the Inside Sales department. Monitor and verify that all      customer contact (purchase orders, phone calls, quotations/estimates,      product returns, credits, etc.) is handled in a timely and professional      manner and to the satisfaction of management and customers.

  2. Responsible for special projects, generating all reports, and      compiling all metric information assigned by the Inside Sales Manager for the Inside Sales team. Analyze information and identify trends.

  3. Enforce all established department approval measures. Enforce      Quote Verification Process set in place by Inside Sales Manager and      National Sales Manager, which designates approval levels for quoting at various dollar/credit levels (job size, delivery, and any special handling and costing).

  4. Submit, monitor, and verify monthly overstock commission reports for the inside team. Maintain document control of Inside Sales work instructions and oversee the creation and maintenance of standard and advanced price lists and customer lists within Oracle and CRM.

  5. Provide regular detailed feedback on Inside Sales employee      performance which ultimately contributes to employee development plans and performance evaluations. May be asked to sit in and observe performance evaluation discussions between Inside Sales Manager and Inside Sales personnel for training purposes, with the exception of wage and compensation discussions or salary reviews.

Qualifications:

1. 4+ years of experience in a customer service role

2. 2+ years in a Customer Service or Quotations Department Lead role

3. Strong Romac product knowledge

4. Able to perform all essential functions of the Customer Service Representative I & II positions and/or Quotations Estimator I & II positions

5. Proficient computer literacy; experience with Word, Excel, etc. and Oracle “Super User” in Order Entry and Shipping for corporation

6. Strong communication skills


Compensation: $35.05-$52.60 per hour
