QA TECHNICIAN I

MON–THU; 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

With readily available supervision, perform repetitive inspections following standardized methods and procedures. Visually inspect or check parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments or against fixed samples. Check dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications. At this level, may perform finishing operations to correct rejected parts or assist with other production activities. This position specializes in receiving and inspection processes.


Hours: Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-1:00am


What you’ll do:

1. Under guidance from more senior level personnel, leverage standardized Quality Assurance methods and established best practices to perform repetitive inspections and assessments.

2. Confirm received components and/or raw materials match the purchase order requirements. Determine freight bills and packing lists represent shipped materials. Perform basic visual inspections. Initiate claims on product received as damaged during transit.

3. Inspect products or raw material components for internally reported material variances and determine acceptance to current standards and requirements.

4. Work with more senior level technicians on outgoing product inspections.

5. Enter data into established databases.


What you’ll bring:

1. Basic QA skills, including experience with print reading, finishing, and defect recognition

2. Able to use all tools and equipment necessary for the job, including calipers, micrometers, thread plug and ring gages, ID/OD ring gages, electronic data collection devices, and statistical process control database (Quantum SPC)

3. Effective reading, writing, communication, computer, and general mathematical skills

4. Able to perform visual inspections

5. Basic mechanical aptitude


Compensation: $20.00-$27.16
