TOOL & DIE MAKER

Are you a detail-oriented individual who can perform advanced tool and die development work under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance? Our leading manufacturing company is on the lookout for a Tool and Die maker like you! Come work where you can plan, design, construct, and/or repair a wide variety of intricate and complicated parts including tools, dies, jigs, gauges, machine components, molds, and fixtures. Here you will work along side engineers to make industry leading products that can be simple stand-alone fixtures all the way up to complicated and matched assemblies.


Hours: Mon-Thurs 5:00am-3:30pm


What you’ll do:

1. Work closely with Engineering to conceptualize the development and configuration of new production and solve technical problems. Maintain production readiness of existing production equipment and tooling.

2. Interpret complicated specifications such as blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine the best approach for machining, assembly, and sequence of operations to machine components and/or assemblies.

3. Operate and set up machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, precision surface grinders, drills, presses, and cutoff equipment to accomplish tasks.

4. Use sole discretion to calculate machining dimensions based on finished part requirements.

5. Produce parts to exacting tolerances with precision fits and validate these to the established requirements. Verify dimensional accuracy, alignments, and clearances of finished parts.

6. Support ongoing operation of equipment, dies, fixtures, and tooling by bringing wear items back into tolerance, custom making unavailable parts, and repairing damaged components.


What you’ll bring:

1. A team player with a commitment to excellence, and a keen interest in producing parts to exacting detail.

2. High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

3. 10+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker

4. Able to work successfully without supervision.

5. Advanced competency with reading sketches and blueprints.

6. Able to successfully run drill presses, lathe machines, milling machines, precision surface grinders, cutoff equipment, and hydraulic presses.


Compensation: $35.05-$52.60 per hour
