ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide support to manual and automated weld processes through troubleshooting, training, and Repair/Maintenance of weld equipment.
Use standard procedures and criteria to qualify welders and weld processes.
Assist Weld Process Engineers in developing new weld procedures.
Assist with Lean implementation and help drive continuous improvement of weld processes.
Assist with specifying, sourcing, procuring, installing, and commissioning new welding equipment.
Provides leadership and technical competency to manufacturing and maintenance technicians to operate and maintain manual and automated welding systems.
Perform destructive and non-destructive inspections for defects such as porosity, cracks, lack of fusion, etc. and develop repair procedures as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of overall experience in welding and manufacturing.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (welding, material science, welding engineering, metals fabrication, engineering technology.
Extensive knowledge of GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and working knowledge of weld equipment.
Working knowledge of destructive weld test methods (bend test, tensile test, micro/macro testing).
Familiar with basic weld metallurgy.
CWI, CRAW-T.
Experience building or maintaining electro-mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, controls).
PAY RANGE
$59,800 - $89,700
